Gwangju Busking World Cup

Gwangju Busking World Cup is an international street performance music festival held around Chungjang-ro in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. This event is a competition-style festival in which domestic and overseas street performance artists take part and present a wide range of music performances, where stages of various genres such as vocal, band, acoustic, and performance can be enjoyed. Participating teams go through preliminary and main rounds before the final round determines the winning team, and award-winning teams are selected through evaluation by professional judges. Held across various parts of downtown Gwangju, this event is an international cultural event that promotes the revitalization of culture and arts by using urban spaces, the spread of street performance culture, and contributes to global cultural exchange and tourism activation.
