Data and Content Use Policy
Jonmatdori provides data that it has collected, reviewed, linked, and translated to make restaurant discovery easier. Normal personal use is welcome; copying the database or using it as input for another product is not.

You may browse places and share links to original Jonmatdori pages. Bulk collection, database reconstruction, AI or RAG ingestion, and commercial reuse require prior written permission.
What Jonmatdori built
Separate from ownership of individual public facts, the selection, review, arrangement, linking, and editorial treatment of the following materials form a database and content collection built with substantial effort.
- Place identification, normalized addresses, coordinates, and area classifications
- Normalized menus, recommendation notes, taste summaries, and translations
- Links among videos, channels, places, visit records, and evidence badges
- Search and display order, taxonomies, slugs, and editorial metadata
Permitted use
No separate permission is needed for the following ordinary uses.
- Personal browsing and use of place information to decide where to visit
- Sharing the canonical Jonmatdori detail-page URL in messages or social media
- Minimal quotation or commentary with clear attribution and a source link
- Standard search-engine indexing that follows robots.txt and does not reconstruct the database
Uses requiring prior permission
The following are prohibited under this policy without Jonmatdori's prior written permission.
- Repeated or bulk collection using crawlers, scrapers, browser automation, macros, or bots
- Copying, downloading, storing, exporting, or reconstructing all or a substantial amount of the database
- Resale, redistribution, commercial reuse, or construction of a competing or similar service
- AI training or fine-tuning, RAG knowledge bases, vector databases, search indexes, or dataset ingestion
- Circumvention of authentication, access controls, rate limits, robots rules, or technical safeguards
- Removing attribution or misrepresenting the material as supplied or endorsed by Jonmatdori
Automated access
A publicly visible page does not grant automated collection rights. If a public API is offered, access is permitted only under its documentation, keys, rate limits, and terms.
Other than standard search engines, automated agents must not access the service without prior written permission.
External content and trademarks
Videos, thumbnails, channel names, trademarks, and original material from YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms remain with their platforms and respective rights holders. Jonmatdori links them as source and context for choosing a place and does not claim ownership of that external material.
Enforcement and permission
For policy violations or abnormal bulk requests, Jonmatdori may apply rate limits, block IPs, accounts, or API keys, suspend access, preserve logs, request deletion, and take appropriate legal action.
Only explicit written approval through a contact method provided by the service constitutes permission. No response or an ongoing discussion does not constitute approval.
Legal basis and exceptions
Korea's Copyright Act provides database producers with rights over reproduction, distribution, and transmission of all or substantial parts of a database, including certain repeated and systematic uses of insubstantial parts. Rules on improper acquisition or use of data and circumvention of technical safeguards may also apply under the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
This policy does not exclude lawful quotation, research, education, or other exceptions available under applicable law. Legality depends on the purpose and manner of each use.
