It is a leading Gimhae festival that preserves the value of traditional ceramics culture while presenting modern reinterpretations. Marking its 31st edition this year, the festival consists of diverse programs—including exhibitions and sales of works, pottery-making experiences, and ceramic-art demonstrations—that offer a close look at the distinctive beauty and artistry of Gimhae buncheong ceramics. Visitors can view the distinctive works of local ceramic artists together in one place and experience the appeal of buncheong ceramics more easily and enjoyably through hands-on programs in which they touch clay and make pottery themselves. It is also a participatory cultural and arts festival that provides experiences, performances, events, and other programs for children and families as well as people of all ages, helping traditional ceramics culture continue as part of everyday culture.
