*The food and drink information for the festival site below is based on last year's (2025) festival contents, and the 2026 festival contents are currently being updated.* The Gimje Horizon Festival, the only traditional agricultural culture festival among the honorary representative cultural tourism festivals of Korea designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is centered on Byeokgolje, the country's oldest and largest irrigation facility. Set against a vast golden field and the horizon, the festival offers a variety of attractions, including the nation's first presidential cup national farmers' music contest, as well as programs where visitors can directly experience agricultural culture, such as cooking rice in a hearth, catching grasshoppers, rice harvesting, and threshing. In addition, traditional folk events such as Ssangyongnori based on the Byeokgolje legend and the Ipseok tug-of-war wishing for a good harvest can be directly joined on site, adding to the festival's enjoyment.
