The Gochang Mo-yangseong Festival is a history and culture festival centered on Mo-yangseong, the fortress whose original form has been preserved the best in Korea. Its signature program is Dapseongnori, an experiential program developed from the legend that one lap cures leg pain, two laps bring lifelong health and longevity, and three laps lead to ascension into paradise. In addition, the festival offers Night Dapseong Ganggangsullae Dalbam, a nighttime Dapseong and Ganggangsullae blend where residents and visitors come together; a street parade with more than 1,000 residents expressing the past, present, and future; Returns 1453, a journey through time that lets visitors enjoy themselves while moving through the interior of Gochang Eupseong; and food booths and direct sales markets using local specialties from Gochang.
