*The food information at the festival grounds below is from last year's (2025) festival, and the 2026 festival information is currently being updated.* This is the only festival in Korea with ‘Hangeul’ as its theme, and it is held every year as Sejong City’s representative festival to commemorate Hangeul Day. It has been held since 2013 based on the spirit of King Sejong’s great achievement in creating Hangeul, and in 2025 its name was changed from ‘Sejong Festival’ to ‘Sejong Hangeul Festival.’ Through performance, exhibition, and hands-on programs that modernly reinterpret the beauty and creativity of Hangeul, it is operated as a festival that people of all ages and nationalities, regardless of generation or nationality, can relate to and enjoy. In addition, through a variety of cultural and artistic programs that blend tradition and modernity, it is growing into a differentiated cultural tourism festival unique to Sejong City, where the charm of Hangeul and the spirit of King Sejong can be experienced easily and enjoyably in the city center.
