World Heritage Committee Republic of Korea Pavilion (K-Heritage House)

This is a special cultural event commemorating the hosting of the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan, presenting Korea's World Heritage, Intangible Heritage, and Memory of the World heritage all in one place. Held in July 2026 at BEXCO in Busan, this event will present a wide range of programs planned around the value of the Republic of Korea's heritage recognized by the world. In the exhibition space, visitors will experience an immersive program that begins with a thematic pavilion introducing 17 domestic World Heritage sites, followed by an exhibition of Memory of the World heritage, a national heritage media art exhibition, and an on-site campaign experience. In addition, on-site programs will include a royal guard changing ceremony recreating the dignity of the Joseon dynasty, along with intangible heritage performances and demonstrations that let visitors feel the breath of artisans firsthand, as well as a range of content that makes national heritage more approachable, including the 'K-Goods Shop,' where visitors can find traditional souvenirs with refined design, welcoming visitors from around the world.

Illustar Fes 12

Illustar Fes is a subculture event related to comics, animation, and games that has been held since 2023. At the venue, about 1,000 individual and team participants take part, mainly selling illustration books, goods, and music albums that use first- and second-generation original illustrations. In addition, game companies from various platforms such as mobile, Nintendo, and Steam also participate, allowing visitors to experience events and games. Also, each time, a space is set up for indie game companies, providing an opportunity to directly experience games with genres and methods that are not easy to encounter in person. One of the important highlights of the event is the cosplay that fills the venue, where you can meet individuals and teams dressed as various characters inside and outside the venue. You can take photos with cosplayers of your favorite characters, and on the indoor stage you can fully enjoy performances by cosplay teams as well as band or DJ performances made up of music from anime, games, and more.

Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026

The Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC Festival) is a global indie game festival held every year in Busan, Republic of Korea, since 2015, and has grown into the largest event in Korea dedicated solely to indie games. This year, under the slogan 'Buff your Indie Spirit,' more than 250 global indie games will be exhibited, and a variety of programs such as stage events and streaming content are planned.
