The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is a nighttime garden festival held around Yeosu-si Yeomun Culture Street and Yeoseo Mi-gwan Square. The festival theme is "Yeosu Night Garden Holding the Sea," and the event runs for a total of 51 days from September 11, 2026 to October 31. The festival aims to utilize the spatial characteristics of the old downtown area through content linked with gardens and nighttime scenery, and to provide citizens and tourists with opportunities to enjoy garden culture. About 40 gardens, including representative gardens, artist gardens, and citizen-participation gardens, are created at the venue, and the space is operated so it can be viewed both day and night through a variety of plants and scenic arrangements. At night, lighting effects are applied to emphasize the garden scenery and provide an environment connected with Yeosu’s nighttime tourism resources. During the event period, various content such as garden commentary programs, cultural performances, hands-on programs, and citizen participation programs are operated, and programs linked with local commerce and tourism resources are also promoted. The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is an event to promote the spread of garden culture and the revitalization of the old downtown area, and to build the foundation for Yeosu as a garden city. Its goal is to use local cultural and tourism resources through a garden festival that citizens and tourists can participate in and enjoy together, and to promote the sustainable spread of garden culture.
