Seongnam-dong Coffee Festival
A special coffee-themed festival is held in Seongnam-dong, where young people once gathered after the area was designated an industrial city district and fostered a culture of literature and romance centered around coffeehouses. The Seongnam-dong Coffee Festival is a participatory cultural festival for all coffee lovers. Held every autumn, it is jointly planned and operated by local merchants in Seongnam-dong and coffee industry professionals, offering a rich range of programs including hand-drip demonstrations, latte art experiences, brewing competitions, and tastings from various coffee brands. It also features a coffee performance competition with skilled baristas from across the country, hands-on booths for families, live performances, and a food market, establishing itself as an open festival in which people of all ages can participate.
