In Seongnam-dong, where young people gathered after the area was designated as an industrial city district in the past and a culture of literature and romance flourished around its coffee shops, a special festival centered on coffee is held. The Seongnam-dong Coffee Festival is a civic participation cultural festival for everyone who loves coffee. Held every autumn, this festival is planned and operated together by local merchants in Seongnam-dong and people working in the coffee industry, and offers a rich range of programs such as hand-drip demonstrations, latte art experiences, brewing competitions, and tasting events for a variety of coffee brands. It also features coffee performance competitions with skilled baristas from across the country, as well as experience booths, live performances, and food markets that families can enjoy together, making it an open festival where people of all ages and genders can take part.
