
National Heritage Media Art
National Heritage Media Art is an annual cultural heritage festival held in various regions across the country using our 'national heritage' as its theme, hosted by the National Heritage Administration and organized by the National Heritage Promotion Institute. Since it began in 2021, it will, in its 6th year this year, present beautiful media art that adorns the national heritage of 12 regions through a variety of programs using the latest ICT technologies. In 2026, the works will take place around [Gyeonggi/Gangwon areas] with Ganghwa 'Goryeogungji' and Cheorwon 'Labor Party Office'; in [Gyeongsang areas] with Gyeongju 'Daereungwon', Yangsan 'Tongdosa', Jinju 'Jinjuseong', and Tongyeong 'Samdo Naval Command Post'; in [Jeolla areas] with Gunsan 'Old Gunsan Customs Main Building', Yeosu 'Jinnamgwan', and Iksan 'Mireuksa Temple Site'; and in [Chungcheong areas] with Buyeo 'Jeongnimsa Temple Site', Asan 'Monument of Admiral Yi Sun-sin', and Cheongju 'Yongdusa Temple Site Iron Flagpole', reexamining the history contained in each heritage site and maximizing its value. Through this, you can encounter moments when the heritage of the past continues into present life and shines brightly.
