*The festival food information below is from last year's (2025) festival, and the 2026 festival information is currently being updated.* The Anseong Mat-nam Namsadang Baudeogi Festival is a festival based on Namsadangnori, designated as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It inherits and develops the artistic spirit of Baudeogi, the first female kkokdu-gae in Joseon, and the wit and style of the Anseong Namsadang troupe, while presenting a wide range of programs that everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy together, including the Anseong Old Market, which recreates the prosperity of one of the three major markets of the Joseon era, traditional culture experiences, traditional arts performances from Korea and abroad, and overseas folk performances. In particular, visitors can get up close to the essence of tightrope walking and Namsadangnori, and experience the charm of Korean traditional culture vividly through performances that blend tradition and modernity. Bringing together history, culture, performances, and tourism, the Anseong Mat-nam Namsadang Baudeogi Festival has established itself as a cultural tourism festival enjoyed by domestic and international visitors alike, and continues to develop as a leading Korean traditional culture festival.
