Busan Sea Festival

Summer means the sea, and the sea means the Busan Sea Festival! Marking its 30th anniversary, the 30th Busan Sea Festival is Busan's representative summer festival and will be held for a total of 7 days from August 7 to 13, 2026, at the Dadaepo Beach area. The programs set against the wide-open sea and sunset of Dadaepo are planned to create a sensory and energetic atmosphere. In particular, this year, in celebration of its meaningful 30th anniversary, it is planned as a 'locally cooperative festival' that highlights the passionate energy of Busan's young people and close collaboration with local businesses. At the evening opening ceremony on Friday, August 7, which opens the festival in grand style, the 'Dadaepo Fireworks Show' will take place, making full use of the overwhelming openness of Dadaepo Beach and bringing the start of the 7-day festival to a peak.

The 4th Dadaepo Sunset Film Festival

The Dadaepo Sunset Film Festival is a local film festival centered on Dadaepo Beach in Busan, which boasts a beautiful sunset. Against the backdrop of the lovely sunset and the sea, a variety of programs will unfold, including a beach red carpet, opening and closing screenings, and a nationwide short film competition. Gwangalli M (Marvelous) Drone Light Show

The Gwangalli M (Marvelous) Drone Light Show, held since 2022, uses "M" to stand for "Marvelous," meaning astonishing and wonderful, showing that the lights emitted by drones, together with the night view of Gwangan Bridge, Busan’s landmark, bring awe and mystery to visitors to Gwangalli. It is performed every Saturday evening in 2 shows (winter season, October to February, 19:00 and 21:00 / summer season, March to September, 20:00 and 22:00) for about 12 minutes, and can be viewed from anywhere on Gwangalli Beach. From the regular performances using 1,100 drones every week to special shows for countdowns, Lunar New Year, and Chuseok, drone shows of various scales of up to 3,000 drones are held. *The performance schedule may change depending on weather conditions and other factors.

2026 Night Race in Busan

2026 Night Race in Busan is a night running festival in Busan set against Gwangalli Beach and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Republic of Korea Youth Day Festival

Republic of Korea Youth Day is a statutory commemorative day that originated from a youth commemorative event proposed and led by the Incorporated Association Youth and Future. Since 2016, the Incorporated Association Youth and Future has held an annual Youth Day commemorative event every September to build social consensus for designating Youth Day as a statutory commemorative day and to raise public interest in promoting the rights and interests of young people, and since 2017 it has used the official name , developing it into a youth festival representing the Republic of Korea. Later, on January 9, 2020, the National Assembly plenary session passed the Youth Basic Act, which included the designation of Youth Day as a statutory commemorative day, and Youth Day was designated as a statutory commemorative day on the third Saturday of every September. The Republic of Korea Youth Day Festival is held to widely promote the meaning of Youth Day as a statutory commemorative day and to expand youth social participation, promote rights and interests, and revitalize youth culture. This year, marking the 10th anniversary of Youth Day, the 10th Republic of Korea Youth Day Festival will be held in the Gwanganri area of Busan, a representative tourist destination of the Republic of Korea.
