Boryeong Mud Festival

The Boryeong Mud Festival is a global hands-on summer festival representing the Republic of Korea. From the 'General Zone', where you can enjoy mud with your whole body while looking out over the cool Dacheon Beach, to the 'Family Zone' and 'Water Park Zone', where the whole family can safely recharge their energy, a variety of spaces are available. With day and night DJ and EDM performances, as well as the unique experience program Mud Mobshin, where you enjoy being hit by mud water cannons, the festival lets you blow away the heat with thrilling mud attractions during the day, while at night the excitement continues with a spectacular drone show that decorates the night sea and passionate large-scale night performances. You can make special memories this summer in Boryeong, where both day and night are complete.

Cheongyang Chili Pepper and Wolfberry Festival

Held with the beginning of autumn, the Cheongyang Chili Pepper and Wolfberry Festival is a participatory festival that people of all ages can enjoy together. It features sensory-rich experience programs using chili peppers and wolfberries, the signature agricultural specialties of Cheongyang-gun, as well as Chef Yeon Gyeong-rae's invited cooking show, a nationwide high school cooking survival competition, a huge kimchi-making event, a wolfberry rice cake mosaic, and a "King of Spicy Pride" show, so visitors can enjoy food and entertainment. There are also a variety of food booths, including a specialty food experience village zone, a spicy beer and spicy-pride provincial college zone, and a food court restaurant zone. In particular, the festival has expanded programs for families and children by adding a newly established kids zone that includes the Catch! Teenieping performance and photo zone, a wood culture experience zone, and Cheongyang's friends (Cheongyang-i, Cheongchorong, Cheonghong-i). It is a leading local festival in Chungcheongnam-do that offers abundant attractions and activities through invited performances by singers such as Song Ga-in, Park Ji-hyun, Park Hyun-bin, and Solji, as well as Cheongyang's Excitement and resident autonomy performances.

Janghang Maengmundong Flower Festival

The Janghang Songnim Natural Recreation Forest, which is visited by about 1,000,000 people annually, has planted 6,000,000 maengmundoong plants in a pine forest of about 28 square meters, forming the nation's largest maengmundoong colony. Janghang Songnim Natural Recreation Forest is a tourist destination where a coastal pine forest adjacent to the West Sea and a maengmundoong colony are created together, allowing visitors to enjoy both forest recreation and natural scenery. The Janghang Maengmundong Flower Festival is held using these natural resources and runs a variety of programs centered on the maengmundoong colony, including cultural performances, experience programs, exhibitions, sales of local agricultural and specialty products, and food operations. It also operates cultural and tourism content that makes use of the natural scenery and tourist resources of Janghang Songnim, providing visitors with seasonal sights and hands-on experiences, and it is operated as a representative local festival where nature and culture are in harmony.

Gunsan National Heritage Night Walk

Gunsan National Heritage Night Walk is a 5-day nighttime heritage enjoyment event held in the Gunsan old downtown national heritage area, including the former Joseon Food Corporation Gunsan branch office, from 2026.08.14.(Fri) to 08.16.(Sun) and from 2026.08.21.(Fri) to 08.22.(Sat). On midsummer nights, the 8-night theme program takes place in the old downtown heritage area, filled with historical stories of Gunsan and its national heritage, night scenery with light, and performances by local artists. Families, couples, and friends can walk along streets where the past meets the present, learn about and experience the historical meaning of the cultural heritage, and also enjoy delicious food and entertaining performances.

Gongju National Heritage Night Tour

A National Heritage Night Tour is a night-focused program that uses areas with a concentration of national heritage as hubs to connect and utilize national heritage together with the region's distinctive historical and cultural resources through viewing, hands-on experiences, performances, exhibitions, and more. The Gongju National Heritage Night Tour takes place around the modern national heritage sites in the core area of old downtown Gongju, including the former Gongju-eup Office and Gongju First Church, and presents programs built around 8 nighttime themes. This year marks the 10th consecutive year of the event and the 100th anniversary of 'Gongjusi Gado', published in 1926, so it is held under the subtitle '1926 Gongju Romantic Banquet' in celebration and commemoration of those milestones. It offers visitors a variety of programs that capture Gongju's modern history from 100 years ago.

Gongju Yaban Beer Festival

In the season when the early summer heat grows stronger, the 'Gongju Yaban Beer Festival' unfolds splendidly around Geumgang Singwan Park in Gongju-si. Held under the theme of Gongju's night opened with a refreshing glass of beer, this festival offers plenty of summer-night freshness along with craft beer as refreshing as the golden waves of the Geum River. At the venue, tasty signature beer booths using Gongju's representative specialty, chestnuts, and foods that go well with beer are prepared, pleasing visitors' appetites. An exciting jazz tap dance competition and performances by well-known K-pop singers add to the festive energy, and the emotional nighttime landscape lighting and photo zones matched with the beautiful night view of the Geum River complete the romantic night scenery.
