Siheung Gaetgol Festival

The Siheung Gaetgol Festival is an ecological festival held at Siheung Gaetgol Eco Park, home to Gyeonggi-do's only inland tidal channel. Based on a natural environment where former salt fields and wetlands coexist, it offers various programs for resting, learning, and having fun in nature, allowing visitors to become immersed in the natural world. To protect the eco park's environment, it is operated as a car-free festival. Its signature program is the salt-pan performance “Memory of Salt, Dance of Water.” Scheduled performances include Concert in Gaetgol, the Salt Warehouse Puppet Theater, the Tree Forest Music Festival, and the Gaetgol Senior Runway. Other planned attractions include a fantasy hot-air balloon experience, Gaetgol Adventure Corps, Salt Play and the Barefoot Salt Road, SEA POOL Party, Bouncy Insect Experience, “Gaetgol Is My Playground Today,” a salt-field experience, the Slow Post Office, the “Let's Walk Siheung” Walking Gathering, Siheung Salt Field Salt Festival, Art Out on the Streets Festival, Gaetgol National Art Competition, Gaetgol Memory Photo Studio, and the Gaetgol Stamp Rally.
