Mato Arts Festival

October 31, 2026 – October 31, 202611 Anjeongshopping-ro, Paengseong-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do

The Mato Arts Festival is Anjeong-ri's representative cultural and artistic festival, carrying the meaning of 'an arts festival held on the last Saturday of the month.' In June, it is held under the theme 'Summer Christ-MATO,' and in October under the theme 'Broadway in Anjeong-ri.' In particular, the Anjeong-ri Artists' Plaza in June is decorated with the 'Summer Christ-MATO' concept, reminiscent of a snowy Christmas in midsummer, and operated as a water-play-centered festival that cools away the heat. The festival provides participatory content that everyone can enjoy, including citizens, foreigners, and visitors, with a play zone for families featuring a water pool, air bounce, and snow bubble pool, as well as various performances, citizen-participation events, hands-on booths, and companion-animal programs. It also offers special cultural and artistic experiences across generations and nationalities through theme-based hands-on programs reflecting each edition's theme, large photo zones, and a variety of exhibition and hands-on programs held at Anjeong-ri Artists' Plaza.
