Gangneung National Heritage Night

Gangneung National Heritage Night is a program selected by the Korea Heritage Service as a “National Heritage Representative Brand Project.” By offering diverse activities such as performances, experiences, and art along streets where cultural heritage sites are concentrated, it seeks to increase the use of cultural heritage and promote its preservation value by enabling people to appreciate its meaning and value. Gangneung City has participated in the Korea Heritage Service’s National Heritage Night project since 2016. This year, Gangneung National Heritage Night will take place around the Gangneung Daedohobu Government Office, Seobu Market, and Myeongju-dong, with 8 nighttime-themed programs prepared: night scenery, night roads, night history, night paintings, night stories, night food, night stays, and night markets. Through distinctive content encompassing sights, food, and activities, each program conveys the meaning and value of cultural heritage and provides opportunities to experience the history and culture of Gangneung.
